Atlanta Neurodiagnostics employs only physical therapists. In Georgia one must hold the credentials of a medical doctor or a physical therapist to perform needle EMG.

Most mobile diagnostic companies do not offer EMG because their employees are not credentialed to perform the test. The EMG should always be performed in conjunction with the NCV to prevent very serious disease from being overlooked and to pin point the neuropathy that is causing the patient’s symptoms.

Most companies employ technicians to perform only the NCV. The NCV is read by an unattending physician and the diagnostic company bills the professional component of the test. Our physical therapist can read the tests immediately. Atlanta Neurodiagnostics allows you to bill the entire test and you pay Atlanta Neurodiagnostics as an independent contracting physical therapist which gets a 1099 at the end of the year.

As a result, your office receives a very comprehensive test respected by the patient, the doctors involved, and the insurance companies. The test results can actually be utilized in the treatment plan of the patient. The test results are printed and interpreted immediately. Finally, you are not bound to a contract. If the testing relationship is not a win-win situation for you and Atlanta Neurodiagnostics then the relationship would simply dissolve.
